Red Sox 8, Orioles 6
: Will Middlebrooks recorded three hits, an RBI and a run scored as visiting Boston fought back to pick up its third straight win.

Dustin Pedroia drove in two runs and David Ortiz hit his 10th homer for the Red Sox, who have won nine of 11 to pull back to .500 at 21-21.

Boston grabbed a 2-0 lead in the third but watched it disappear in the bottom of the frame as starter Clay Buchholz lost his command. The right-hander walked in two runs and ended up issuing three free passes in the four-run frame.

It was a 5-2 Baltimore lead when the Red Sox began to fight back, getting to Tommy Hunter for three runs in the sixth. Ortiz hit a solo blast and Daniel Nava cut it to 5-4 with a sacrifice fly before Middlebrooks scored the tying run on a balk.

The Orioles brought on Kevin Gregg (2-2) to keep it tied in the seventh, but the veteran reliever loaded the bases on two hits and an intentional walk before allowing the go-ahead run on Adrian Gonzalez’s sacrifice fly. Middlebrooks followed with a single to make it 7-5.

Andrew Miller (1-0) picked up the win with 1 2/3 perfect innings of relief and Alfredo Aceves worked the ninth for his 10th save.
