Franklin Gutierrez scored on shortstop Cliff Pennington's throwing error in the 10th inning as the visiting Seattle Mariners posted a 4-2 victory over the Oakland Athletics on Tuesday night.

Rookie Dustin Ackley belted a solo homer in the seventh and Adam Kennedy added insurance with an RBI double in the 10th for Seattle, which has won three in a row and four of its last five.
