Aubrey Huff’s slump is a thing of the past. One night after homering to end a 6-for-38 skid, Huff went deep three times and added an RBI single to lead the visiting San Francisco Giants to a 12-7 triumph over the St. Louis Cardinals on Thursday.

San Francisco took three of four in St. Louis, concluding its road trip at 4-3. The Cardinals wasted a monster effort by Colby Rasmus, who hit a grand slam and had a two-run triple.

St. Louis rookie Lance Lynn, called up to start for the injured Kyle McClellan, held a 3-2 lead after five innings. But a leadoff opposite-field double by pitcher Jonathan Sanchez sparked a three-run rally and put the Giants ahead for good.

Sanchez (4-3) labored through 5 1/3 innings, allowing three runs on six walks and four hits.

The Giants arrived in St. Louis with the National League's worst offense but plated 29 runs in the series. Huff leads the light-hitting team with eight homers and 30 RBIs after Thursday's six-RBI outburst.

St. Louis’ Ryan Theriot singled in the second to extend his hitting streak to 16 games.
