Jonathan Lucroy hit a home run and drove in the go-ahead run with a two-run single in the eighth inning, pushing the Milwaukee Brewers past the Washington Nationals, 7-6, Tuesday at Miller Park, their eighth consecutive home victory.

The Nationals loaded the bases in the ninth against closer John Axford, but he got Mike Morse to fly out to right for his 13th save.

Lucroy's fifth home run of the season was a solo shot in the fourth, one of three Brewers home runs. Corey Hart, who hit his first three home runs of the season Monday, hit a two-run shot in the first inning, and Rickie Weeks hit a two-run blast in the seventh for his eighth of the year.

The Brewers trailed 6-2 before rallying for their 12th win in 15 games. Lucroy finished off the comeback with a two-run single off Henry Rodriguez (1-1).

The late collapse by the Nationals wasted Morse's first career grand slam, which contributed to a rough night for Brewers starter Chris Narveson.

Narveson lasted only 3 1/3 innings, allowing six runs on eight hits. Mike McClendon (2-0) allowed one hit in two scoreless innings of relief for the win.

Nationals starter Livan Hernandez allowed three runs over six innings and was in line for his first win since April 28 before the Brewers' rally. The Nationals had scored only one run over his past four starts and had been shut out in the last three.
