Ichiro Suzuki had three hits and scored three runs and Michael Pineda won for the first time since May 21 as the Seattle Mariners beat the visiting Philadelphia Phillies 4-2 on Friday.

Pineda (7-4) pitched 5 2/3 hitless innings before Shane Victorino singled with two outs in the sixth. Chase Utley followed with a single to right field to score Jimmy Rollins, who drew a two-out walk.

Pineda allowed just the one run and two hits before leaving after six innings. He struck out five and walked three. Brandon League worked the ninth for his 20th save in 23 opportunities.

Seattle tallied its first run in the third when Ichiro singled and scored on Brendan Ryan’s triple.

The Mariners boosted the lead to 2-0 when Miguel Olivo led off the fourth inning with his 11th homer of the season against Phillies starter Roy Oswalt (4-5).

Ichiro’s speed helped Seattle increase its lead to 3-0 in the fifth. Utley caught Justin Smoak’s shallow pop to right field but was unable to keep Ichiro from tagging up and scoring from third base.

Ichiro doubled in the seventh for his third hit and scored his third run when Ryan singled him home.

Victorino homered in the eighth to pull Philadelphia within 4-2.

Oswalt gave up three runs and eight hits in 6 1/3 innings.

Prized Seattle prospect Dustin Ackley made his major-league debut. The second baseman singled in his first at-bat and went 1-for-3.
