Lucas Duda delivered one of his two two-run doubles during an eight-run sixth inning as the New York Mets rolled to a 14-5 road victory over the Texas Rangers on Saturday afternoon.

Carlos Beltran collected three hits, three RBIs and three runs scored while Jon Niese (7-6), who exited after 5 2/3 innings due to a rapid heartbeat, posted his third straight road win for New York.

The Mets scored seven runs on seven hits and a walk in the sixth before an out was recorded. New York already had built a 6-2 lead with three-run outbursts in both the first and third frames against Alexi Ogando (7-3), who lost his third straight start in failing to reach the fourth inning for the second time in three outings.

Ruben Tejada began New York's biggest inning of the season with a single and ended the uprising with a sacrifice fly. Duda finished with three doubles - tying the franchise record - and career highs of four hits and four RBIs, including a two-base hit in the sixth that gave the Mets an 11-2 cushion.

Jose Reyes, who entered as the National League's leading hitter, registered his major league-leading 38th multi-hit game and scored twice to raise his season total to 58 runs, also tops in the NL.

Adrian Beltre, Michael Young and Nelson Cruz homered for Texas, which fell to 19-6 in its last 25 interleague contests.
