Aubrey Huff broke out of an 0-for-20 slump with a solo home run to lead off the top of the 10th inning and lift the San Francisco Giants to a 7-6 victory over the New York Mets on Tuesday.

Huff's first home run since April 19 - and his third of the season - came against Taylor Buchholz (1-1), who was the only one of four Mets relievers to allow a run.

The Giants had runners at the corners with no outs in the ninth against Mets closer Francisco Rodriguez, but couldn't push across a run. The Mets loaded the bases with one out in ninth, but Josh Thole grounded into a double play.

Javier Lopez (1-0) worked out of the jam in the ninth to earn the win. Brian Wilson pitched around a two-out single by Jose Reyes in the 10th for his ninth save.

Giants starter Ryan Vogelsong, who beat Pittsburgh on Thursday in his first major-league start since 2004, didn't fare as well this time out. He lasted four innings and allowed five runs on five hits.

Carlos Beltran hit his fourth home run, a three-run shot in the first, and Ike Davis added his sixth, a two-run blast in the third.

Mets starter R.A. Dickey allowed six runs on seven hits in six innings. He gave up Nate Schierholtz's second home run, a solo shot in the sixth.

The seven runs were the most for the Giants since they beat Colorado 8-1 on April 18, a span of 12 games.
