Miguel Montero drove in four runs and Juan Miranda plated three as the visiting Arizona Diamondbacks outslugged the Florida Marlins, 12-9, on Monday.

Zach Duke did not last long enough on the mound to get a win but he did manage to hit a two-run homer for the Diamondbacks, who took three of four from the Marlins and head home for a three-game showdown with the San Francisco Giants.

Florida has lost three straight to fall to 1-11 in June and drop below .500 (32-33) overall for the first time since it was 1-2 on April 3.

Arizona wasted little time jumping on Ricky Nolasco (4-2), grabbing four runs in the first on Justin Upton’s RBI single and Montero’s three-run double. The Diamondbacks would chase Nolasco with five more runs in the third, highlighted by Duke’s second homer of the season.

It was 12-4 at the end of four innings but Duke could not make it through five, getting charged with seven runs on 13 hits through 4 2/3.

Micah Owings (3-0) pitched 2 1/3 innings to take the win and J.J. Putz worked the ninth for his 18th save for Arizona.
