Roy Oswalt pitched six shutout innings as the visiting Philadelphia Phillies tied a franchise record with their 101st victory, a 7-1 rout of Atlanta on Tuesday which dropped the Braves into a tie for the National League wild card lead.

The St. Louis Cardinals won at Houston 13-6 on Tuesday to join Atlanta on top entering the final day of the regular season.

The Braves have lost four straight games and 16 of their last 25.

Oswalt (9-10) improved to 3-2 in September and is 2-0 against the Braves this season. He allowed three hits, struck out four and departed after 85 pitches in his final tuneup for the playoffs.

The Phillies hammered away at Atlanta starter Derek Lowe (9-17) for five runs in four innings. Lowe, who has lost seven of his last nine decisions against the Phillies, allowed a homer to Chase Utley in the first inning.

Jimmy Rollins and Hunter Pence later added home runs against the Atlanta bullpen.
