James Loney doubled in three in a five-run seventh inning as the Los Angeles Dodgers rallied to an 8-6 victory over the host Atlanta Braves on Friday.

Juan Rivera chipped in three RBIs, and Dee Gordon added three hits and three runs scored for the Dodgers, who have won five straight to move within three games of .500 (67-70).

Atlanta still owns a comfortable 8 1/2-game lead over St. Louis and San Francisco in the National League wild card race.

Brandon Beachy went the first six innings for Atlanta and left with a 5-3 lead. Rookie Arodys Vizcaino was the first one out of the bullpen, and the 20-year-old struggled.

Vizcaino (1-1) struck out the first batter he faced before yielding three straight singles to load the bases. Loney followed and hooked a 1-0 pitch into the right field corner to clear the bases and put Los Angeles on top.

Vizcaino walked two and unleashed a wild pitch before yielding to Cristhian Martinez.

Hong-Chih Kuo (1-2) pitched two scoreless innings to earn the win. Javy Guerra allowed Dan Uggla’s 31st homer in the ninth but no further damage en route to his 14th save.
