Ichiro Suzuki had four hits, Chone Figgins had three hits and three RBIs, and Doug Fister pitched into the seventh inning as the Seattle Mariners rolled to a 13-3 victory over the visiting Detroit Tigers on Tuesday.

Michael Saunders also had three hits as Seattle (6-12) finished with 15, and recorded its highest-scoring game of the season while winning for only the fourth time in 16 games.

Fister (1-3) struck out a season-high seven and allowed two runs and five hits in 6 1/3 innings while frustrating the Tigers (8-10).

The Mariners scored four first-inning runs on only one hit as Detroit starter Phil Coke (1-3) walked four batters and also committed an error. Jack Cust walked to force in the first run, Figgins scored on Brendan Ryan’s infield out and Chris Gimenez delivered a two-run single to complete the uprising.

Detroit scored on Jhonny Peralta’s second-inning single before Seattle scored twice in the sixth. Ichiro singled, and stole second and third before being scoring on Figgins’ single, and Figgins later came home on Milton Bradley’s groundout to make it 6-1.

Figgins had a two-run single during Seattle’s five-run seventh.

Coke gave up six runs – two earned – and six hits and four walks in 3 2/3 innings.
