David Price struck out 10 in eight innings and Elliot Johnson hit a three-run homer as the visiting Tampa Bay Rays beat the struggling Milwaukee Brewers 6-3 in interleague play Wednesday.

Price (8-6) was outstanding after a shaky start against Boston last Thursday in which he walked five in five innings. The lefthander allowed just two runs and five hits Wednesday against the Brewers. He walked just one en route to his first win in three starts.

Milwaukee, meanwhile, lost for the seventh time in 10 games. Adding injury to insult, Brewers' starter Shaun Marcum exited in the fourth after aggravating the hip flexor he strained last Friday against Boston. Marcum allowed two runs and two hits in three-plus innings.

The game was tied at 2 until B.J. Upton lofted a soft RBI single to center field off Marcum’s replacement, Marco Estrada (1-5), in the sixth.

Tampa Bay added to its lead as Johnson, playing for the slumping Reid Brignac, snapped out of his own 0-for-15 skid with a three-run shot off Tim Dillard in the seventh. That gave the Rays a comfortable 6-2 advantage.

The Brewers loaded the bases against Kyle Farnsworth in the ninth, but only pushed across one run on a sacrifice fly from pinch hitter Nyjer Morgan.
