Logan Morrison homered and drove in a pair of runs and Gaby Sanchez plated the go-ahead run with a sacrifice fly as the Florida Marlins opened interleague play with a 5-3 victory over the visiting in-state rival Tampa Bay Rays.

Mike Stanton added his 10th homer and a sacrifice fly for the Marlins, who bounced back after consecutive losses.

Hanely Ramirez led off the bottom of the eighth with a single off Joel Peralta (1-3) and moved to third when Morrison followed with a double. Sanchez came up next and snapped a 3-3 deadlock with a sacrifice fly to right, pushing Ramirez across with the go-ahead run.

Anibal Sanchez worked seven solid innings before yielding to Mike Dunn (4-2), who struck out two in a scoreless frame to earn the win. Leo Nunez worked a perfect ninth for his 16th save.

The Marlins grabbed a 3-2 lead in the fourth inning when Morrison and Stanton each reached Andy Sonnanstine for solo homers. That edge held up until the seventh, when Casey Kotchman brought in Matt Joyce with a single to center.

The Rays lost center fielder B.J. Upton in the third inning due to tightness in his left glute.
