Miguel Olivo homered and drove in the winning runs with a two-run double in the 10th inning as Seattle avoided a three-game sweep with a 7-4 win over the White Sox in Chicago on Wednesday night.

Justin Smoak led off the top of the 10th with a fly ball that dropped between third baseman Brent Morel and left fielder Juan Pierre for a double. After Adam Kennedy walked, Olivo shot a grounder just inside the third base line against Sergio Santos (2-2) to plate the decisive runs. Brandon League pitched the bottom of the 10th to save it for Aaron Laffey (1-1), who tossed a scoreless ninth.

Seattle scored three runs in the sixth and took a 4-2 lead in the eighth on a solo home run by Olivo, but Chicago tied the game in the bottom of the eighth on the second homer of the night by Carlos Quentin, a two-out, two-run shot to left off Jamey Wright.

Jason Vargas scattered seven hits and three runs over 7 1/3 innings for the Mariners, striking out four. Chicago starter Gavin Floyd allowed three runs on five hits and three walks in six innings.
