Jason Bay hit his first home run as a member of the New York Mets and Johan Santana pitched six shutout innings during Tuesday’s 4-0 victory over the Los Angeles Dodgers in the first of a double-header.

Bay, who signed with the Mets during the offseason, led-off the fourth inning with a solo blast off Dodgers starter Hiroki Kuroda to make it 2-0.

Santana (3-1) surrendered just four hits and struck out six batters on 115 pitches.

Fernando Nieve and Pedro Feliciano kept the shutout alive by allowing just one hit over the final three innings in the make-up of Monday’s rainout.

The Dodgers’ once sizzling offense has come to a screeching halt as they were held scoreless for the second consecutive contest.

Kuroda (2-1) took the loss, allowing two runs on five hits in six innings of work.

David Wright put New York up 1-0 when he scored on a wild pitch in the second inning. Luis Castillo made it 4-0 with a two-run single in the seventh.
