Scott Rolen’s pinch-hit, two-run homer tied the game in the ninth inning, setting the stage for Joey Votto’s walk-off single later in the frame as the Cincinnati Reds rallied for a 5-4 triumph over the struggling Milwaukee Brewers.

The Reds trailed by three runs before Votto led off the eighth inning against Marco Estrada with his ninth home run of the season. Baseball's all-time saves leader Trevor Hoffman started the ninth for Milwaukee but gave the Brewers no relief whatsoever.

Paul Janish opened the frame with a single before Rolen, batting for winning pitcher Carlos Fisher (1-1), launched a shot over the left-center field wall for his eighth blast of the year and a 4-4 tie.

Chris Heisey followed with a double and after Brandon Phillips walked, Votto lined a single to right, plating Heisey with the winning run.

It was the fifth blown save in 10 opportunities this season for Hoffman (1-3).

Jonny Gomes added an RBI double and Homer Bailey pitched seven effective innings for the National League Central-leading Reds, who have won nine of their previous ten and improved to 16-5 since April 25.

Ryan Braun hit his seventh home run and Casey McGehee collected three hits and two RBIs for Milwaukee, which has lost eight in a row.

Making his first start of the season after 15 relief appearances, Manny Parra held Cincinnati to one run and four hits over four innings. Estrada was claimed off waivers from Washington in February and recalled from Triple-A Nashville prior to Tuesday's game. He retired the first nine batters he faced before surrendering Votto's homer.
