Orlando Cabrera lined a home run just inside the left-field foul pole in the bottom of the 10th inning to give the Cincinnati Reds a 5-4 victory over the New York Mets on Wednesday.

Cabrera’s third blast of the season came off reliever Pedro Feliciano (1-1) and was the second time in three games that the Reds beat the Mets with a walk-off homer in extras. Laynce Nix carried the Reds on Monday night with an 11th-inning blast.

It was also the ninth time in 14 wins that the Reds won a game in their final at-bat.

Micah Owings worked a perfect inning of relief in improving to 3-0.

The Reds held a 4-2 lead in the sixth inning after Brandon Phillips and Jonny Gomes hit solo homers off Mets starter Jonathon Niese. But the Mets got one back on a solo homer from David Wright and then tied the game in the top of the ninth against Reds closer Francisco Cordero on a sacrifice fly from Jeff Francouer.

Cabrera finished with three hits, including an RBI single in the fourth, and Phillips and Gomes each had two hits.

Cincinnati starter Johnny Cueto struck out eight and allowed three runs over six innings in the no-decision.
