Jose Bautista had three hits and a home run while Jesse Litsch earned his first major-league victory in 22 months as the Toronto Blue Jays walloped the Kansas City Royals 13-1 on Tuesday night.

Bautista had a two-run homer in the top of the first inning, an RBI single in the second and a two-run double in the eighth to cap a five-RBI performance. The blast was his major league-leading 26th of the season.

Adam Lind added his 13th home run of the year for the Blue Jays, who won for the fourth time in five games since the All-Star break.

The Toronto offense made things easy for Litsch (1-4), who earned his first victory since Sept. 28, 2008. The right-hander made just two starts last season before suffering a season-ending elbow injury, but allowed just one run on eight hits over 5 2/3 innings Tuesday.

Toronto's Edwin Encarnacion finished 3-for-5 with three RBIs and forced Kansas City starter Anthony Lerew (1-4) out of the game after hitting him in the ribs with a line drive in the top of the second inning.

John Buck and Aaron Hill added three hits apiece in the rout.

Lerew absorbed the loss, allowing four runs on three hits with two walks over 1 1/3 innings.

Every starter except for Mike Aviles had at least one hit for the Royals, who had 11 hits in the game but only managed the one run. They have lost seven of their last eight games.
