Jeff Francis continued his comeback from shoulder surgery in impressive fashion and Troy Tulowitzki homered as the Colorado Rockies took care of the Kansas City Royals 3-0 on Saturday.

Miguel Olivo and Ian Stewart each chipped in an RBI for the Rockies, who have won just twice in their last six games.

Francis tossed 6 1/3 scoreless innings while allowing five hits and striking out three after missing all of 2009 after undergoing surgery to repair a torn labrum. The left-hander has surrendered one run in 13 1/3 innings in two starts this season for a miniscule 0.68 ERA.

Royals starter Kyle Davies matched Francis frame for frame until the sixth, when Tulowitzki came up with two out and drove the first pitch he saw over the fence in center field for his third homer of the season.

Tulowitzki has been on fire recently, homering twice in the last three games while pushing his hitting streak to seven.

Davies was charged with just the one run in a losing effort, yielding five hits and no walks while striking out six.

Colorado padded its advantage against left-hander Dusty Hughes in the seventh, when Seth Smith led off with a double and scored on Olivo's triple. Stewart followed and belted a RBI single to right.

Joe Beimel and Matt Belisle combined for 1 2/3 innings of scoreless relief before handing it off to Manny Corpas, who struck out one in a perfect ninth for his third save.
