Brandon Inge snapped an eighth-inning tie with an RBI triple to propel the Detroit Tigers to a 7-5 victory over the Arizona Diamondbacks on Friday.

Alex Avila added an RBI single in the eighth and Magglio Ordonez homered for the Tigers, who lost slugger Miguel Cabrera due to dizziness early in the contest.

Knotted at 5-5 in the eighth, Brendan Boesch walked with one out before Chad Qualls (1-4) got Carlos Guillen to ground into a fielder’s choice for the second out. He wasn’t as lucky with Inge, who found a hole in deep center and put Detroit on top.

That made a winner of Phil Coke (5-0), who got a pair of outs on four pitches.

It was the 14th straight road loss and the eight consecutive interleague setback for the lowly Diamondbacks.

Dontrelle Willis started for Arizona and did not fare well in his return to Detroit, allowing five runs and five hits in five innings to go along with four walks and four strikeouts.

Tigers starter Armando Galarraga wasn’t much better, allowing four runs and seven hits in 4 1/3 innings. The right-hander has not won since getting robbed of a perfect game on June 2.
