Luke Scott singled home the winning run in the bottom of the 11th inning as the Baltimore Orioles downed Toronto 4-3 Monday, beating the Blue Jays for the first time this season.

The Orioles rallied against Jays hurler Brian Tallet (2-6) after Toronto had tied the score with a two-run eighth inning. Nick Markakis opened the inning with a single, moved to second on a Ty Wigginton groundout and scored on Scott's base hit to center field.

Baltimore had lost all 12 meetings with Toronto going into the game.

David Hernandez (7-8) recorded the final two outs of the 11th inning to earn the victory.

Markakis finished with three hits and a pair of runs scored while Brian Roberts added his fourth home run of the season in the first inning.

Yunel Escobar went 3-for-4 with two RBIs for the Jays, who have lost five of six.

Baltimore starter Brian Matusz left the game after just one inning after he was hit by an Escobar comebacker. He was diagnosed with a left triceps contusion. Roberts was removed after getting hit by a pitch in the leg in the ninth inning.

Toronto starter Mark Rzepczynski surrendered two runs on six hits over five innings, walking two and striking out three.
